What is Theatre N at Nemours?
Theatre N at Nemours is a venture from Cityfest, Inc., part of the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, which opened in October 2002.
Theatre N at Nemours shows first-run independent films every weekend in digital format with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. The theatre seats 221 people and is located in the Nemours Building in downtown Wilmington.
What movies will be shown and how much do tickets cost?
Independent films, ballet and opera filmed in high definition are shown at Theatre N at Nemours. Our regularly scheduled films show every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Check the schedule for current listings and show times. Tickets for our films are $7 for general admission and $5 for students & seniors (62 years & older) and matinees. Ticket prices for the operas in high definition are $20 and ballets are $15 general admission and $12 for students with ID.
How do I purchase movie tickets?
You can purchase tickets by visiting the Theatre N Box Office at 11th & Tatnall Streets (opens 1 hour before showtime and closes at showtime) or online. You can also purchase tickets by calling the Cityfest Special Events hotline at (302) 571-4699.
All tickets ordered by phone must be paid with a credit card. Online ticket sales and phone sales for each week's movie end at 5 pm Friday. Advance tickets can be purchased for all the movies listed on Theatre N's schedule.
Are concessions available?
Yes, going to the movies wouldn't be complete without them. Theatre N offers popcorn, a variety of candy and soft drinks for you to enjoy- most all of them for $1.00! We also have a liquor license and sell wine and beer at our evening shows.
How do I get to Theatre N?
Theatre N at Nemours is easily accessible from I-95. From north points, take exit 7B to 11th & Tatnall Streets. From south points, take Exit 7 to 11th & Tatnall Streets. Click for directions. Parking at the City Center Garage is $1 for theatre patrons with a validated Theatre N ticket stub. Parking at the Community Services Garage is $3 (after 1:30 p.m.) for theatre patrons with a validated Theatre N ticket stub.
Is the Theatre handicap accessible?
Theatre N has been developed and designed with accessibility in mind and meets its federally mandated requirements under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). Accessibility means that people with disabilities, including wheelchair users, can access the Theatre via ramps and elevators.

Can I rent Theatre N for a private event or meeting?
Yes. The theatre is NOT available on the weekends since we run our regular films Friday- Sunday. However, most weekdays and weeknights are available.
